"Ooh, help me Dr. Zaius!"
I’m beginning a new series of art that mashes-up Simpsons/Matt Groening characters with classic Science Fiction films.
The timing couldn't be more perfect, a new "Planet of the Apes" movie opens soon.
The "Planet of the Apes" films are one of my favorite science fiction franchises, sometimes wacky but always interesting. The first installment of the series with Chuck Heston is vital to the landscape of modern Sci-fi. Please, check out these movies, they're brilliant.
However, if you haven't seen the films you're most likely watched the Simpsons parody in the episode, "A Fish Called Salma" with Troy McClure starring is a Planet of the Apes stage musical.
The number called, "Dr. Zaius" set to the beat of "Rock me, Amadeus" is a stroke of genius.

" You've finally made a monkey out of me!"
Next up in the art series, is running for his life.
