MONSTERBOX

A friend sent me an enthusiastic recommend for a video of a short student animated film from France called, “MONSTERBOX.” I instantly fell in love with it, from wondrous character designs to charming storytelling. The students did such a terrific work it inspired me to make a drawing of some of the adorable characters from the short.  What a wonderful piece of art these animation students made.

MR. PEABODY'S IMPROBABLE HISTORY

I recently saw the new “Mr. Peabody and Sherman” movie and found it immensely enjoyable. As an enormous fan of the original 1960s cartoon segments from the “Rocky and Bullwinkle” show I was surprised that the filmmakers kept the characters and most of the humor true to what Jay Ward and the show’s writers established. I recommend it highly.
Also, quite honestly, I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to draw up a nice Peabody and Sherman art. The duo is one of my favorites since childhood and I have always wanted to make a tribute to this classic cartoon. The new movie just gave me a reason to do so.
“…Off to the WABAC machine, Sherman.”
